Pagès-Védrenne, the almost century-old liquor maker, has acquired the distribution rights of Bielle distillery in metropolitan France.
After Jamaica with Red Bonny (see the special mixology issue of Rumporter), the French company is courting the Antilles with the Bielle, a great rhum agricole. With the B2B market as its target (wholesalers and the restaurant industry) the Bielle invasion can start at any moment and we hope that soon we’ll be able to enjoy a really fine Bielle ti punch at our local bar.
The Burgundy family company also distributes the Ambré (amber) and Blanc (white) versions. Let’s just hope that the 59% white rum and the similarly superb 50% amber rum do not disappear from the line!
