Barceló Organic was launched in 2020. It is the first organic rum in the Dominican Republic.
To produce this rum, Barceló selected a set of plots of land covering a total area of 150 hectares and prepared them for five years without any chemical treatment, in order to eliminate any residue of fertiliser or synthetic fertiliser.
For Barceló, the organic label is Imocert, a label recognised throughout the world. Based in Bolivia, it is certified in France by Ecocert, which enables us to promote our good practices and establish a relationship of trust with the consumer. The certifications issued by Ecocert guarantee and promote the assurance of a social and environmental commitment.
