New at Plantation Rum: the collection of “Birds of Paradise” is made in Trinidad. As a reminder, the first opuses were Fiji, Jamaica, Barbados, and Peru.
Plantation Trinidad 2009 is a 12 year old rum selected in the cellars of Trinidad Distillers Limited.
Distilled in 2009 in continuous multi-column stills, this Plantation Trinidad has benefited from a double aging: eleven years in 200-liter ex-bourbon barrels in the cellars of the Trinidadian distillery and then an additional year of aging in 400-liter Ex-Ferrand French oak barrels in Javrezac, a region of Charente.
All this in beautiful packaging representing the scarlet ibis, a bird with red plumage, which is one of the emblems of Trinidad and Tobago.
