It has become one of the highlights of the year: the Rumporter editorial team reveals its favorite vintages of 2025. Whether tasted on site, at a trade show, in a bar, or at home, these rums have inspired us and remain etched in our memories. Some were launched in 2025, others before, but all are worth trying. Eminente 10 ans Gran Reserva Edition 2 – Cuba
Another fine Cuban rum from Maestro Ronero César Martí. True to the brand’s DNA, it contains a high proportion of aguardiente (80%), but above all, it has been finished in ex-Sauternes barrels, and it’s an open secret that these are from Château Yquem, the most iconic estate in the appellation (which is also part of the LVMH portfolio). This very old rum (10 years) is aromatic, with notes of candied fruit, vanilla, spices, but also honey and white flowers (contributed by the Sauternes)…
70 cl – 43,2 % – 80 €

Ron Superior cognac
It is aged at 66% from part of the extraction from the first stage, then placed in French white oak ex-cognac barrels for an additional period of 3 years. The first series, called “Tonel Cognac,” comprises 1,000 750 ml bottles at 62.3%, all numbered.
75 cl – 62,3 % – 625 $
Ron Superior Armagnac
Part of the first stage extraction is aged at 66%, then placed in French white oak barrels that previously contained Armagnac for an additional period of 3 years. The first edition of TONEL ARMAGNAC consists of 750 numbered bottles at 61.22% ABV, each containing 750 ml.
75 cl – 61,22 – 775 $
Flamant Rhum – PACA
This is batch 3 of the 100% French rum created by Guillaume Ferroni and Kévin Toussaint. As a reminder, it was produced entirely in the Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur region. The sugar cane comes from Kévin’s 6,000 m² plantation in Hyères, and the distillation takes place in Aubagne at Guillaume’s Château des Creissauds. The result is a pure cane juice rum unlike any other, somewhat reminiscent of mezcal with its slightly smoky notes. But it is the notes associated with sugar cane (vegetal, sweet) that dominate. Our advice is to let it breathe for a few minutes in the glass or add a drop of water to open it up a little.
50 cl – 50 cl – 90 €
Vieux Corsaire – Noix de coco, Sarrasin torréfié
An original liqueur combining coconut with roasted buckwheat, where the exotic sweetness of coconut blends harmoniously with deep notes of cocoa.
50 cl – 29 % – PVC : 29,90 €
