Planteray Trinidad 2003 – Trinité & Tobago

Planteray Trinidad 2003 - Trinité & TobagoThis Planteray comes from the iconic Terravera collection. Distilled in 2003 in Port of Spain, Trinidad and Tobago, it was first aged for 16 years in ex-bourbon barrels on site before being refined for an additional three years in French oak Ferrand cognac barrels in Charente, a trademark of Planteray. Its fruity aromatic profile on the attack (peach, guava, fig, etc.) then stretches out into notes of tobacco, wax, and spices. It is indulgent, complex, and offers excellent value for money!

Eminente 10 ans Gran Reserva Edition 2 – Cuba

Eminente 10 ans Gran Reserva Edition 2 - Cuba

Another fine Cuban rum from Maestro Ronero César Martí. True to the brand’s DNA, it contains a high proportion of aguardiente (80%), but above all, it has been finished in ex-Sauternes barrels, and it’s an open secret that these are from Château Yquem, the most iconic estate in the appellation (which is also part of the LVMH portfolio). This very old rum (10 years) is aromatic, with notes of candied fruit, vanilla, spices, but also honey and white flowers (contributed by the Sauternes)…

Flamant Rhum – PACA

Flamant Rhum

This is batch 3 of the 100% French rum created by Guillaume Ferroni and Kévin Toussaint. As a reminder, it was produced entirely in the Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur region. The sugar cane comes from Kévin’s 6,000 m² plantation in Hyères, and the distillation takes place in Aubagne at Guillaume’s Château des Creissauds. The result is a pure cane juice rum unlike any other, somewhat reminiscent of mezcal with its slightly smoky notes. But it is the notes associated with sugar cane (vegetal, sweet) that dominate. Our advice is to let it breathe for a few minutes in the glass or add a drop of water to open it up a little.
