Two anniversary vintages for Longueteau

The Longueteau distillery is showcasing two new red cane-based vintages.

Longueteau

 

A single estate white rum No. 6, 100% red cane, a blend of the 2023 harvest (rested and reduced in stainless steel vats for 2 years) and the 2024 harvest (rested and reduced in stainless steel vats for 1 year).

Tasting notes provided by the producer:

Nose: lively notes of lime zest and fresh cane.

Palate: round and intense with the freshness of lemon and hints of aniseed.

Finish: long with a lovely sweetness and a touch of iodine.

Longueteau

 

Also a rum from plot No. 11, again made from red cane, aged for four years in 300-litre ex-cognac casks.

Tasting notes provided by the producer:

Nose: rich with vanilla, toasted hazelnut and a hint of fresh cane.

Palate: balanced with generous notes of caramel and sweet spices.

Finish: long and delicately woody.
