Despite being closed for maintenance for a year, La Favorite Distillery continues to innovate

The Lamentin distillery (Martinique) may have undergone a year of maintenance (to remain compliant with European regulations), but it continues to delight us with new vintages.

Franck Dormoy and his teams are set to enter a new market, that of punches/liqueurs/fruit-infused spirits, with a new range of rum-based spirits that will showcase the spices, plants and other fruits found in Martinique’s gardens.

‘This tradition was already present in the days of Franck’s grandfather and father, but he wanted to bring it up to date and add his own personality to it,’ says Emmanuelle Parent, marketing and tourism manager at La Favorite. The first cuvée in this new Arrangé Artisanal range will be Jardin Créole · Ylang-ylang, which is commonly found in gardens, particularly in the distillery’s own garden, where the flowers are sourced.”

Other cuvées are already in the pipeline, using ingredients gathered from around the distillery and beyond.
