{"id":28341,"date":"2017-12-15T08:00:40","date_gmt":"2017-12-15T07:00:40","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/rumporter.com\/?p=28341"},"modified":"2022-01-19T16:16:14","modified_gmt":"2022-01-19T15:16:14","slug":"oxenham-becomes-oxenham-craft-distillery","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/rumporter.com\/en\/oxenham-becomes-oxenham-craft-distillery\/","title":{"rendered":"Oxenham becomes Oxenham Craft Distillery"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>The Mauritian distillery rebranded itself in July along with the launch of a new Bougainville line sold from October 2017 onwards.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-24893 size-full\" title=\"Rhum Bougainville Oxenham\" src=\"http:\/\/rumporter.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/11\/Oxenham-Craft-Distillery-rhum-rumporter.jpg\" alt=\"Rhum Bougainville Oxenham\" width=\"900\" height=\"728\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Bougainville has two categories: pure single rums called \u201cRum Bougainville\u201d and aromatized and spiced rums called \u201cSpirit of Bougainville\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>Bougainville is the only distillery in Mauritius that makes pot still molasses rum with long fermentation periods of 14 to 20 days.<\/p>\n<p>The rum maker likes to release in small batches and add variations in the distillation process in order to take advantage of the aromatic palette.<\/p>\n<p>The \u201cRum Bougainville\u201d rum exists in five expressions: White, Gold, VS, VSOP and XO.
