It is aged for 35 years in the tropical climate of Jamaica, followed by 5 years in ex-Ferrand casks in Cognac.<\/p>\n<p>This Planteray Jamaica 1984 is the oldest rum offered by the house, and will be limited to 317 numbered bottles. A decanter with a wooden stopper handcrafted by artisans in the Cognac region. Each medallion has been created from the barrel that contained the rum in Jamaica, and features an individual hand-engraved number.<\/p>\n<h3>Tasting notes provided by the producer :<\/h3>\n<p><em>Nose: very complex, slightly smoky and fleshy, with fruity, herbaceous and bitter notes.<\/em> <em>Ruis, pastry vanilla aromas, with cooked banana, bitter orange peel and ripe pineapple.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>Palate: dry, with a floral and fruity profile featuring notes of rose, soursop, pear, white grape, apricot and apple-cinnamon.<\/em> <em>This is followed by aromas of coconut milk, balsam fruit, allspice, bread and nuts.<\/em><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><strong>Planteray Jamaica 1984<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>70cl &#8211; 57,2% &#8211; \u20ac1995<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Planteray rums recently unveiled their oldest and rarest rum: Planteray Jamaica 1984.
