The \u2018Hearts Collection\u2019 range was launched in 2020 by Joy Spence and Luca Gargano and offers vintage and 100% pot still rums.<\/strong><\/p>\n

After the 1994, 1995 and 1999 vintages launched in 2020, followed by 1984 and 2003 in 2021 and 1993 and 2002 in 2023, the 1998 vintage is the eighth in the Hearts Collection series.<\/p>\n

Distilled in 1998, this vintage has been aged for 25 years in the tropical climate of Jamaica. 19 American oak casks were selected by Joy Spence, Appleton’s Cellar Master: \u2018The 1998 vintage is very special, not only because of its age and incredible depth, but also because this new vintage pays tribute to one of the most cherished qualities of my career.\u2019 She added: \u2018Hearts Collection 1998 faithfully reproduces one of the rare marks used in Appleton Estate Joy Anniversary Blend.\u2019<\/em><\/p>\n

Bottled in 2023, this vintage will be available in 2700 bottles.<\/p>\n

\u2018Herbal and fruity with delicate notes of treacle, ginger and smoked coffee, butterscotch, warm vanilla and subtle oak. Dry finish of molasses and oak\u2019.<\/em><\/p>\n
